For Google Chrome:

If you are using Facebook on Google Chrome then the simplest way to disable Theater effect is to install Revert FB Photo Viewer extension. This will give you back your old photo viewer on Chrome.

For Mozilla Firefox:

For firefox you can use facebook Photo Theater Killer userscript. Before installing this to your Firefox make sure you have Greasemonkey add-on installed. You can also use it on Chrome with Tampermonkey extension.

Temporarily disabling theater effect (any browser):

Method 1: Open a photo on Facebook. To view it normally without Theater effect just hit F5 key or refresh the page. You will see pics in classic Facebook photo viewer.

Method 2: Open a photo and check its link in the address bar. For example:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2944361161780&set=a.1207721306869.2032105.1043785484&type=3&theater

Now remove the &type=3&theater part from the end and hit enter. It will temporarily disable the theater effect for that album.

To hide ticker from your sidebar click on the ‘Hide Ticker’ button. Can’t locate it? Just check out the screenshot below:

Now you don’t need to use unofficial extensions to hide it, simply click a link and it will disappear. Please note that you cannot hide the ticker when chat on sidebar is open.

Why you should buy Galaxy Note?

• Buy it if you can’t afford a Smartphone and a Tablet separately.
• If you like to buy a handy Tablet which you can carry in your pocket as well.
• If you always have to stay connected to internet for your work or business (I’m not talking about Facebook and Twitter )
• If you like bulky and flashy gadgets and if you like showing off your gadgets. No one is going to notice an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S-II in your hand and one can’t ignore such a huge phone like this one.
• If you are a teenager.
• If you love android and it’s applications.
• If you don’t care about the market after buying a gadget. Samsung will definitely cut its prices and will launch a new phone in this segment soon just like Samsung Galaxy S series. They launched S and S-II and now S-III on its way.

• Don’t buy it if you want a stable device that you can use for next 2-3 years.

• If you are buying a phone just to get cool application. In that case go for an Apple device.
• If you are expecting a high resale value of your phone.
• If you hate Andriod and just impressed by the looks of this phone.
• If you are not good in handling delicate stuff. The only delicate part of this phone is the screen. Google is full of queries like ”Galaxy Note cracked screen”.
• Last but not the least, if you’re an Apple iPhone lover then don’t buy it. In that case either wait for iPhone 5 (expected in June 2012) or buy an iPhone 4S or even iPhone 4; that will give you more happiness.

Verdict:

Well I can just give you suggestion, the final decision is still yours. Galaxy Note is technically a very good phone. The good feature of this phone is its display and its a bad feature too.

According to me if you are planning to buy a smartphone then go for something else like Samsung S-II or Apple iPhone. And if you’re looking for a Tablet PC then go with Apple iPad. Don’t mix up a phone and a tablet as both are different things with different usage.

Blocking requests from a particular friend for an application:

For this go to your Apps and Games page from the sidebar of your Facebook homepage. Alternatively you can click the link below.

After that reject any request from a friend by clicking ‘Cross’ sign given with the accept button. Now to reject all the future requests from that friend click on “Ignore all requests from *friends name*?” on the same page as shown below.

Blocking requests from a particular friend for an event:

If you are getting so many event invitations than it’s a good idea to block those invites rather than removing that person from your friends list. To ignore all event invites go to your events page. Now first of all decline an event request and then click on the button given with the text ‘You Declined’. See the pic below.

After that click confirm to stop receiving future invites from that particular friend. That’s it, now you will stop getting useless invites and notifications.

To update a status or post a comment on Facebook in Strikethrough go to this website. This is a direct link to the tool which generates the Strikethrough Text. Write the text you want to convert to Strikethrough format in the box 1. and click generate. After that copy whatever text it shows in the box 2. and post it on Facebook. Expected features of Apple iPad 3:

1. Retina/HD display: Currently this feature is in iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S and most probably this feature will be there in iPad 3. A retina display not only gives you a very good screen graphics quality but it also enables to run many new applications which are based on Retina display only and gives you a better user experiences of those apps. Although the display of iPad 2 is good too and there’s no other tablet in the market which’s having this Retina display.
2. A6/Quad core Processor: This thing is also expected in iPad as Apple always upgrades the processor of their new product. If new quad-core processor is there in iPad 3 you should definitely wait for it as this high-speed processor will support so many new application and will give a better graphic quality. It will obviously increase the processing speed hence lesser time to do your tasks.
3. Siri: The artificial intelligence feature that made the iPhone 4S popular. If it comes in the new iPad then you should definitely wait for it and I think it will be there. But it’s totally your personal choice whether you want Siri in the new iPad or not. Some people are waiting for iPad 3 just because of Siri.
4. Better Camera: A new 8 M.P camera in iPad 3 is expected but the camera of iPad 2 is good too. I don’t think waiting for iPad 3 just because of a good camera is a nice idea.
5. Screen Size: Rumors says the new iPad is going to have a 7″ display but I don’t think it’s true, Apple won’t make iPads having screen size smaller than the current size. However they might launch two different iPads for that.
6. Battery Life: The new iPad will definitely have a better battery life which might increase its cost as well. But if you are getting a nice battery life in a Tablet PC then you should wait for it as battery life of a tablet matters a lot.
7. Price: Price is a main factor here. The cost of iPad 3 will be either equal to iPad 2 or it will be little expensive. If it will be the same as iPad 2 then Apple will slash the prices of iPad 2 by $100. That means even if you are planning to buy iPad 2 you should wait till the launch of iPad 3.

Well if you are using Internet Explorer 7.0 (just in case) and want to use Timeline profile then you have to upgrade your browser. If you activate Timeline in IE 7.0 then it will be activated and anyone on Facebook can see your Timeline profile except you and those who are using IE 7.0.

Hate Timeline? In that case a solution for you is to downgrade your browser to I.E 7.0 or simply install IE 7.0 with your regular browser. That way you can continue using your old Facebook profile layout as there’s no other option of switching back to normal profile once you activate Timeline.
