Almost all new applications written for Windows Platform needs the .Net framework. The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is useful for programmers and developers. The focus of .NET version 4.0 is better support for parallel extensions. The .NET framework helps out these programs to run because of features like interoperability and language independence.
This makes having Microsoft .NET 4.0 framework a must have if you are developing software or even running new applications on your Windows OS.
If we go to the Microsoft Download center, we can install the live installer. This is a small file but to install the complete .Net framework it will require an internet connection to install the almost 50 MB size framework.
If you are using a dial-up or a limited download plan on your internet, this might be a little painful to sit about waiting for the live installer to download the .net 4.0 framework.
One major advantage of downloading the offline installer is you can easily use it to install .NET Framework on multiple computers without the need to download individually from the internet.

I have just installed the version 3.5 but it doesn’t work. Also, I can not uninstall it or repair.

Recommended settings are 1Ghz, 512 MB RAM, 850 MB Disk Space free for 32-bit and 2GB free disk space for 64-bit for .NET 4.0
hellow first try to uninstal it from “safe mode”, if it doesn’t work, download microsoft frame work 4.0 from this link “http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17718” , then instal it on your pc, then run it, it will be upgrated automatically from microsoft frame work 3.5 to 4.0 😀 , hope to work .
Just wondering is it okay to use this one for pirated copies of windows xp. Would it cause any problem or errors ? thanks in advance.
I do not think it should be a problem, that said I do not recommend using pirate copy of any software!
will i get the ‘genuine problem’ after install it because im using windows xp pirate copy.
@CyberShot I always recommend buying orginal copy but I do not think it gives the genuine Windows popup warning when .net framework.

I do not recommend using Windows XP pirated version. Usually .net framework works fine from Windows vista onwards.
this sucks. whenever i try to download it, “somehow” it wont let me. it says “connection interrupted”. and i need this framework! any ideas or solutions?

hello, i have my lapi with operating system xp n i want to install visual studio 2010 in xp only. Is there is any suggestion for me how to install vs2010 without changing my os. Because vs2010 doesn’t support xp n i don’t want to change it.
I have purchased Nuance pdf converter 8 and tried to install on my Acer Aspire with a Windows 7 platform. The installation failed at file netfx_Core.mzz.
Tracing this back I found that this was a failure to load Net framework 4.0 so I downloaded the installation file from your site and tried to do the installation for that alone. It failed at exactly the same place with the Extracting files popup.
Do you have any suggestions please?
i have downloaded net frame offline 4.5 installer but it is not installing.first extracting, then gathering information but in time of installation it is not working.please help me suggesting the probable solutions.i badly need them.
I over came the problem above with some help from Acer computers. I deleted Net frame on my computer and reloaded it from the installer without re-booting. The installation went without a hitch. Hope that helps
