That’s a very good offer for students. Rather than government keep shouting that they are planning for computer per child, this kind of offers from Apple would boost the interest on education for school children.

by any chance, can I get snow leopard with the student discount? If yes, that would be awesome 😀

sauravjit September 21, 2009

@Cena

Well I don’t think it’s there in the student discount however you may still ask from them,

either SMS ‘SALES’ to 54646 or drop an e-mail at [email protected]

@Cena

Check for your desired software here http://www.apple.co.in/store/education/software/apple_software.html

I hope you’ll find the one you want 😀

Nice offer. Now mac Mini will be in reach for many students.

sauravjit September 22, 2009

@srinivas
Check the 13″ Macbook too (in the UPDATES above), even that’s affordable for most of the students.

Actually Apple is doing something similar to what MS did in the late 80s. Back then the idea was to get students hooked onto their OS with discounts and hence they would automatically want Microsoft products as preferred software when they started working. I wonder if the Indian market is that matured for Apple to do the same thing.

@Aditya
I didn’t know about it but what they are doing is awesome 🙂
