This post must surely remind you about our previous post wherein we were able to get our Orkut scraps delivered as SMS using Mytoday ‘feed by SMS’ and Orkutfeeds service. But unfortunately, Mytoday server was overloaded and they stopped providing the service leaving all Orkut users sad 
But its the time for all India Orkut users to rejoice, 
as I have come up with another working trick to get all your Orkut scraps delivered on your mobile using Google SMS channels. Though getting Orkut scraps as SMS is officially available in Orkut, unlike them, this trick is absolutely free. Keeping in mind Devilsworkshop terms of not duplicating contents over the internet, I’ve not mentioned the detailed procedure on this blog, rather you can find the step-by-step guide on Rtcamp’s other blog related to mobiles – MobileGyaan.

Orkut is providing the service with a charge, but using this trick you can get scrap alerts for free

Orkut does not support all mobile networks. e.g. Airtel, BSNL.
what but i have regestered my mobile in orkut but still not getting the scraps as sms

Orkut charges? Well I get them for free everytime without any charge,dunno what charges are you telling..?
If you are telling about charges after Basic Limit,then maybe coz I haven’t gone beyond my Basic limit!

Each notification is costing you Rs. 2/- buddy. Check this page for details. Guess your balance must be deducting but you are not aware of it.

Only if I send then it does,I mean if I request to scrap from my mobile, but Scrap notification on my cell doesn’t cost me and its really spontaneous!

I am unlucky in this case. I use two cellphones, one is airtel and other is bsnl.
Both are unsupported…
can we receive mail notification same way.
Me too posted the stuff about the SMS alert for GMAIL inbox, but it is not safe, if you dont want to share your personal Scraps with others.

Hey! I followed the required steps carefully but still didn’t get any scrap on my mobile. I have done it 10 days before and I received more than 50 scraps and most of them were text and less than 150 characters. I also added ORKUTFEED BOT on my orkut account. Still got no sms. Why???

after adding this to google sms in preview its showing that this scrap book is private…
if i add “#both” in preview its telling ‘o’ items found
