Most of the Facebook users still think that they don’t have an option of deleting ‘pending friend requests’ on Facebook i.e the friend requests that are sent by you but haven’t accepted or rejected (pending for approval) by the other user. Actually it’s possible and the way of doing that is quite simple too. Unlike orkut we can’t do that directly from the user’s profile, rather you have to go to your ‘Friends‘ page. Just follow the steps given below,
- Go to Friends>> All Friends from your homepage, given on the top nav bar.
- From the given list find the person with “Friend Request Pending”. The list is arranged in alphabitical order so it’s quite easy to find a particular user.
- To delete the pending friend request, click on the cross sign (remove request button) given with the particular person’s name.
- Finally just confirm by clicking on “Remove” and you are all done.

@Aryan This option is not available these days, you can directly go to that Person’s page and delete your friend request.

@Aryan I think you read my post “Use unfriend finder to keep a check on Facebook friends” , Well I just checked it I am able to use Unfriend finder easily. No issues. May be you should try un-installing and then installing it again, after a restart. It will surely work. 🙂 Let me know if it was helpful. It shows those friends also, who have not accepted your friend list so you dont need to remember them indivisually!

If not Google Chrome then there is no problem with Mozilla Firefox also. I just gave that option to you because that was an update 🙂
hi there. how can i delete my pending friend request? i tried what u post here but its hard for me because when i search it says that “friend request sent” how can i delete that?
You can go back to the friend’s page to whom you have sent the friend request,you can delete the friend request. In front of his name you can see the awaiting friend request just cancel it.
