We know that Firefox is growing fast in the browser market but for the first time it overtook the number one browser Internet Explorer in Europe. The firm  StatCounter Global Stats reports that in the month of December, Firefox took 38.11% of European market share, compared to IE’s 37.52%. Google Chrome in third place is gaining market share in Europe and has grown to 14.58% compared to 5.06% in December 2009.

This is the first time IE is loosing its number one position, the reason for loosing share is because Google Chrome is stealing IE share while Firefox is maintaining its existing position.
