BUT there are some nice development now.... First thing Indian publisher can receive payments in INR i.e. local currency. I deposited check in INR to SBI once and CITIBANK. Not a single paisa got deducted! :-) Also Google give nice currency conversion rates so I will recommend you to opt to receive payments in local currency. I am not sure about payments in US DOLLAR as I never got one. But you better contact your bank regarding the issue as banking policies keeps on changing! @Adi

Now information was highly accurate that time! BUT there are some nice development now….

First thing Indian publisher can receive payments in INR i.e. local currency. I deposited check in INR to SBI once and CITIBANK. Not a single paisa got deducted! :-)
Also Google give nice currency conversion rates so I will recommend you to opt to receive payments in local currency.

I am not sure about payments in US DOLLAR as I never got one. But you better contact your bank regarding the issue as banking policies keeps on changing!
