Here comes another hack to download videos from video sharing sites like YouTube, Google Videos, etc! I come across it via a anonymous comment by a Devils Workshops’ reader!
After giving you Video Downloader Firefox extension and Kiss YouTube Hack to do the same, this hack let you download videos from almost any site, although they have listed around 30 sites only!
Moreover it comes with a to make it further simple! Just drag-n-drop it to your browser’s toolbar and click on it to download videos you are watching! You don’t need to type anything like old KissYouTube hack!
#How-To Use
There are 2 ways!
First simply copy the link (URL) of the page with the video on it and paste it in a field provided at KeepVid’s Homepage!
The other way is for people who are addicted to videos like me 
- Just Drag above bookmarklet on browser toolbar! It will create an entry named “Keep It” on bookmark toolbar.
- Next time yo are visiting any video page from youtube, Google Video or any other service just click the “Keep It”.
- You will directly taken to the keepvid page with download link!

Nice work buddy but I strongly suggest you to change homepage design.
It doesn’t look like search engine at all. Instead my first impression was I was on a blogs homepage and search box at top-right corner is blogs standard search feature!

Yes, you are right, I did this website in order to show the lightboxXL functionality so I didnt bother for its design. I have change the front page. Your opinion is highly appreciated, in fact you were the only one honest!… I still left the search box on the top right, how can i make it better?

In one line I can say search box should be at center of the page. I mean horizontal as well as vertical centering.
Actually I personally feel Googles Homepage influenced web-design of search engines and many small sites forever. So if you want visitor to catch instantly with your site, you have to go by their undocumented format of everything centralized with logo above search box.
Hey this is my personal opinion without any study so you can freely disagree with them!
But I kept them in mind while designing homepage of orkutfeeds.com.
I have to agree with the “Google” standard being more presentable. Something about it makes you feel at home. Maybe it’s because Google.com is my homepage. On any note, I almost did a search on orkutfeeds since it looks so friendly. However, I do not know what an Orkut feed is.

TubeTilla is a free piece of software that not only downloads the video from YouTube but converts it to WMV, mp4 and mp3..

Interesting post. I used to use kissyoutube as it was really simple. But then i found out about vfroog. vfroog is run by some guy at ifroog.com.
Similar to kissyoutube. But here you replace youtube with ifroog and it straight away downloads the video without taking you to another page. try it !
..and also supports metacafe, dailymotion, break, veoh, yahoo, livevideo and megavideo.
