Can I add ads on a wordpress blog?? If yes, then what is the minimum no. of hits I should get on the website/blog?
If you mean wordpress.com blog then I am not sure. I guess you cannot.
But if you are running wordpress on your own server then you can use few plugins to insert your ads.There is minimum criteria but the only thing is you need to have any approved account.
If you blog is quite old and get some traffic
you can apply for google adsense
