clip_image002According to Neilson Online study done recently for the list of top online music destinations in the US, AOL Music ranked at the Number 1 position with a unique audience of 22,686. At the Number 2 spot came Yahoo Music with a unique audience of 20,571, followed by My Space Music with a unique audience of 12,130.

What’s interesting to note here is that the unique visitors to Myspace.com’s sub-domain the music.myspace.com have increased tremendously since its launch in September 2008. This means a growth to 12.1 million in June 2009 from 4.2 million unique visitors.

When we compare these numbers to the unique visitors to other sites within the music category in June, music.myspace.com ranks at number 3, just behind AOL Music and Yahoo Music. The good news for music.myspace.com is that it is ahead of popular music sites like MTV Networks Music and Pandora.com.
