One of the most awaited feature Google Talk lovers has been waiting for is out. Just read on Google’s official Gmail blog that Gmail Chat version of Google Talk will now have option to go invisible!

With this feature, you can appear offline, and still send and receive messages. If you’re using AIM in Gmail, invisible mode also makes you appear signed out on the AIM network.
Many developers will find this interesting as they can chat with other fellow developers without any interruption now. One bad new for boys is that all gals can go invisible now to avoid them! 😀
Personally this is the feature I was waiting for. Hope to see it in Google Talk application soon! 🙂

Its not possible yet I guess!
Act Google just added this feature so it will take time before anyone finds a hack to do this.

There is a trick which can be used. Its not fast and easy like yahoo invisible status finder but you can try.

hiii …there is a trick in finding user whether he/she is invisible or not ….
Set the chat as off the record with target user . This can be done only when the other user is online.
Now try sending chat to that user when he is invisible or offline.
If he is invisible, then he will receive chat.
But if he Is offline, then you will receive error “ did not receive your chat”.
ps: u can set chat off the record option even if the user is offline in google talk but it is not possible in gmail…

For Desktop Google Talk client try this workaround.
well the labs edition is very slow and regularly gets disconneted…

yes sending the invisible a message is the best bet. tested on 2 computers in the same room and it works like a charm.

iam using gmail some time after online friend cant chat properly.and reloading online friend.what is the reason .how can i solve these problem
i am just curious if a contact who is previously in a yahoo messenger list of my bf now appears to be gone has been deleted, when i scroll down on the contact list the name does not appear anymore but when i type in the name of the person to find contacts it still appears but beside it is a small envelope icon and aside from that when i check my bf’s email in yahoo messenger that person still appears to be online in the list even though when i check his yahoo messenger account, the name does not appear anymore. so i would like to know if he has deleted that particular contact in his yahoo messenger list and how come the name still appears online when i check his email?
