If you love to program and are in the age group of 13 to 18 then here is your chance to show your programming skills . In an effort to encourage more participation to open source developments, Google is organizing a contest for pre-university students, around the world.
The contest starts on 22 November 2010.
Who can Participate?
- Students within age of 13 to 18.
- Contestant must be enrolled in a university, secondary school or in any other recognized educational institution.
- All students will need a guardian’s permission to take part.
What would the students have to deal with?
Writing code, tasks involving creating and editing documents, research and much more.

This is a novel way to encourage young computer geeks, regarding programming. Also it will be quite useful to get the next generation of programmers hooked to the idea of open source.
