Google is looking for geeky kids!

If you love to program and are in the age group of 13 to 18 then here is your chance to show your programming skills . In an effort to encourage more participation to open source developments, Google is organizing a contest for pre-university students, around the world. The contest starts on 22 November 2010.

Who can Participate?

  • Students within age of 13 to 18.
  • Contestant must be enrolled in a university, secondary school or in any other recognized educational institution.
  • All students will need a guardian’s permission to take part.

What would the students have to deal with?

Writing code, tasks involving creating and editing documents, research and much more.

This is a novel way to encourage young computer geeks, regarding programming. Also it will be quite useful to get the next generation of programmers hooked to the idea of open source.
