Orkut Buyukkokten, creator of Orkut marries his boyfriend
Orkut Buyukkokten, creator of Orkut is married to his boyfriend Derek Holbrook recently. It was expected as the California Supreme Court has made gay marriages legal recently. The ceremony was witnessed by Marissa Mayer, the Vice President of Search Product and User Experience at Google.

When we tried to figure out who is Derek Holbrook, first Google result taken us to Derek’s facebook profile. I guess now two are married, Derek may consider deleting facebook profile in order to strengthen bond with Orkut. 
From their scrapbooks it seems that they got married around July 1.
You can use Orkut’s or his boyfriend Derek’s scrapbook to send your greetings to them. Most of their scraps are in Portuguese. I used Google translator to translate some of them and shocked to see that some orkut users showing displeasure on this marriage. Some of them even posted some of their personal pics on Internet. Don’t ask for links!

Dude, this is insane! I am really surprised to know that Orkut is a GAY? Even I am in the opinion of rejecting GAY marriages… It wont be far when people start saying u “use” Orkut? I am switching to Facebook for sure

Well Facebook is anytime better than Orkut but one should not make his creators sexual preference a reason to switch between two

I have confirmed it from few more sources.
I also came across some pics which reconfirmed Orkut creators sexual orientation. I guess Orkut is more popular in conservative countries and this may be reason Google kept this news low.
Also there are 100’s of scraps in their scrapbook wishing them about marriage and some of them from people in their friend-list.
If such a big news had been wrong, me and other bloggers might be facing legal actions by now.
One more thing I like to highlight is that big news site often take conservative approach while editing contents before publishing.

hey it is great to see that Orkut Buyukkokten,has intoduced orkut which connects friends and almost everybody round the globebut to hear that he is maried to his boyfriend Derek Holbrook seems awkward… anyways man in the verge of creating a different tool forgets himself….kudos for this person for inventing orkut..way to go Orkut Buyukkokten!!!!!
