Micromax, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, launched the Micromax Canvas 4 at an event in New Delhi today. This latest flagship smartphone comes with a metal body and has some interesting features. Canvas 4 comes with a price tag for Rs 17999.
Micromax Canvas 4 Specs and Features
- Micromax Canvas 4 comes with Android 4.2.1 – Jelly Bean. Android updates will be given Over The Air (OTA)
- The phone can be unlocked.
- 5 inch IPS screen (1280 x 720)
- 1.2 GHz quad core processor – MediaTek’s 6589.
- Has a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. Burst mode to shoot 99 photos in 15 seconds, smile detection, Photosolid, high dynamic range, synthesis, 4 directions Panorama, effects library, geo-tagging, touch focus.
- Comes with 1 GB RAM. A 16 GB internal memory. External SD cards can be inserted. Expandable external storage is till 32 GB.
- Comes with a 2000 mAh battery for 220 hours of standby time and 8 hours of talk time.
- Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi and USB.
- Dual SIM smartphone. Available in white and grey colors.
- You can watch two videos or play a video and do another task simultaneously. It’s exactly the pop-up play from Samsung’s TouchWiz. Video pauses when you look away.
- Answer or dial a contact by taking your phone near your ears. It comes pre-loaded with some apps like Hike and Opera Mini.

I am happy to buy micromax(Indian Brand) but the service centers are bad if you get any problem you are dead they will take months to return your device that is the one reason i am holding back.
Aha, it happens, Satish. I too would like to see Indian brands jump higher. But sadly there is one issue or the other that prevents us Indians to succeed. I sincerely hope that Micromax will be successful in the near future. Lets see what happens. 🙂
well the battery is better then 1350 mAh, dual sim i hope Dual sim actually work like my Galaxy Dous… price is really awesome better then Grand .
