Features of Google Music India

  • Google Music India is good for people looking to stream music rather than download files of music.
  • The search feature is pretty good with the ability to limit the results according to a time frame like the 1970s decade.
  • Clicking on the link will play the music streamed for Google Music’s partner websites. This will use Flash player so make sure your browser supports Flash.

Mostly the music results were Hindi film songs but I could pull up a decent amount of classical Indian music results too. I am not so sure how good it is with regional music but I guess with time this service will only get better.

So try it out and do drop in your comments and views.

it’s a good initiative by Google to curb down piracy of Music which causes huge losses in Music Industry..:)

I am not sure this will curb piracy to a great extent. The music is streamed and as it plays with Flash chances are it wont play on a mobile browser.

Nice to hear about the service from Google but perhaps, Guruji Music is a better solution than Google Music

This is a nice service from the house of Google. There are many sites online like Raaga already which have a large fan following. I wonder if this also proves to be a mistake from Google 😛

I doubt it is of much consequence to Google. The music is not really stored by Google but only streamed through partner site.
